Yesterday was the August edition of the growing Downtown Art Walk. It's a lot of fun to see bigger and bigger crowds start coming out to these; Bert Green of Bert Green Fine Art told me he counted 365 visitors to his space during the walk's hours.

I'm not feeling overly ambitious this month, so I think I'll just point you to a flickr set with my pictures and mention a few shows that I really enjoyed. First, the pictured Glamour Shots shop at Gallery 727 was odd and entertaining. They have a wrap up and fashion show tomorrow night at 9pm. Second, I really liked the Synapse exhibit at LA Center for Digital Art. I have a thing for old graphics computers -- sitting in my bedroom is an SGI Personal IRIS 4D/25 and out in the living room I have an SGI Indy and an SGI Indigo. Many of the computer-generated works on display were from that class of hardware, and I enjoy that.

Next Downtown Art Walk will be September 8th. Make your plans now.
