New Qdoba to be Open Weekends

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Two weeks ago I wrote that new food choices were adding to Downtown street life. In the comments Shawn mentioned the it was a shame some of these new places aren't open on the weekends. Well, if the lettering on the door is to be believed Qdoba will be open 7am to 7pm seven days a week.
I don't know an opening date, but today there was a man sitting at an outdoor table with a "Now Hiring" sign, apparently doing some interviews. That's one reason I didn't get a better shot -- I'm a little self-conscious about taking pictures when there's someone right there.

Hopefully, Qdoba and Camille's can do some effective marketing (tourists from local hotels, commuters on the Red & Blue Lines below, Staples Center crowds, Macy's Plaza shoppers, delivery in local area, outreach to local residents, etc.) and create a little critical mass. This is a tough stretch on 7th street. I wonder, too, if they have a liquor license. I like a Corona or Dos XX with my Mexican food.

Looks like Pitfire Pizza just opened on 2d Street, somewhere around Broadway. I don't know their hours or more importantly, if they deliver....

pitfire pizza company is at 2nd and main, in the higgins building.
they do deliver, but i don't know the hours or how far they deliver. (from what i've read, they do at least some of the delivery using segways.)

Qdoba is now open. I saw the new location at 7th & Hope doing good business as I exited the Red/Blue Line station Friday evening. It looks like they're open until 7 p.m. during the week. They've also got WiFi connection, too.
