Where to Watch the Game: Grand Ave Sports Bar
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — So just to give some closure to my question from a few days ago, a group of four of us watched the game this afternoon at the Grand Avenue Sports Bar in the Biltmore Hotel. I’m still not a huge fan of their screens – they have some nice smaller Sony TV’s but a couple really old projector units – but it was close and easy, and ended up being a great game-watching crowd.
And it really didn’t hurt that we were between two tables of Bruins that shut up pretty quick when the game got started. It’s ok, though; they’re just a gymnastics school these days.

I’m a Trojan, but what’s wrong with gymnastics? :)
if i were a bruins fan, i certainly would have been ducking into the bathroom and shedding any sign of it early in the game.
the best part of the game for me (who had no horse in the race) was how badly the commentators were trying and failing to find anything to say in the second half. when you’re reading the credits half way through the fourth quarter, and your partner calls you on it (and says you should read them more slowly), you have run out of things to say.
their idea that reggie bush should stay at usc another year just to avoid being drafted by the 49ers was also hilarious.
Green LA Girl: There’s nothing wrong with gymnastics, per se. I used to take it when I was little. I won a balance beam competition once. It’s just that, well, it’s not the sport I’d want my school to hang its hat on.
Jim: Our waitress at Grand Ave was wearing a UCLA jersey for the bulk of the game. She changed before it was over into a USC t-shirt. Not sure whether that was a bet or just not wanting to stick out. -e;
