Gridlock Busters: The same day Antonio announced his Tiger Team, I noticed the pictured sign at the corner of 7th and Spring. Obviously the dirt makes me think it's been there quite a while, but I don't recall ever seeing these signs elsewhere. NYC ran a similar campaign in the mid-1980s; not sure where these came from.

Update (8pm): Thinking about this further I'm betting this sign got left up by a film shoot. It's odd, though, that it's attached via the normal metal bands.

Youngsters: LA blog Franklin Ave held the 100th installment of its Rate-a-Restaurant series Downtown on Saturday at Coles. Michael and Maria invited readers to join them, and I was one of those who showed up . During the course of the event we had two under-two-year-olds in attendance which made me wonder how long its been since Coles has had such a young crowd.

Still Taped: Despite my thinking that the tape would come down for Meet Your Neighbors, various parts of Pershing Square are still sealed off behind LAPD yellow ribbon. I've sent an email to LAPD but received no response thus far.
