Spring Street Retail Boom
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
Spring Street’s retail scene took some very positive steps in the last few weeks as three new spots opened up.
First the new LA Cafe (middle) revived the coffee and sandwich spot in Spring Street Lofts that had been closed for a while now. Then a week or so ago The Lofty Dog (left) opened up in the former suit outlet space on the corner of 7th and Spring. Finally this week California Fresh (right) opened up in the former pizza space in the Hayward.
Add in the market in the Hayward and 626 Reserve across the street and you have a lot going on in the block of Spring between 6th and 7th. I don’t know California Fresh’s hours (I haven’t seen them open at any time but lunch yet), but the other two have extensive hours including weekends.
Comments
I noticed the Wells Fargo on Spring between 3rd & 4th now has Saturday hours.
New mini-mart at the Hotel Cecil on Main Street. Been open a few weeks now. 6 AM to 10 PM. They seem to be doing good business.
