DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
This Thursday, June 7th, is Hope for Firefighters, a noon-time salute to the men and women who help protect us. Hope street will be closed from Library Tower to 3rd street in order to make space for food, entertainment and firefighter “muster” games. The event raises money for the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association’s Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firemen’s Fund.
Festivities run from 11:30am to 2:30pm, but if you want some of the great food they always have available you’ll want to arrive on the early end of that window.
The LAFD does an amazing job for our city, and showing up to this event is a great way to let them know how much we appreciate them.
Back in September we took a look at LAFD response to an alarm on 7th. Fire photo above is from February’s Broadway blaze.
