Tomorrow: Joel Bloom Memorial in the Arts District

By Eric Richardson
Published: Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 12:45PM

Over at View from a Loft Ed weaves a story of different lives that have intersected in the Arts District. His bottom line: it's people who make a community.

Tomorrow afternoon is the memorial for Joel Bloom, who passed away last Friday. It's a memorial in typical Arts District fashion, with socializing at 3, eulogies and memories at 4, and a Joel Bloom impersonation contest at 5. Everything takes place on Traction between Joel's store and the recently named Joel Bloom Square.

For those driving to tomorrow's event, Ed also includes street closures resulting from the Smith/Cruise/Beckham event at MOCA's Little Tokyo location.
