Patina Group Giving Pinot Staff an Unpaid Week?
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — After filming around Downtown and then shuttinf down a portion of the 105 for scenes this weekend, TMZ is reporting that "John Hancock" is back Downtown for filming at Cafe Pinot this week, and that the restaurant is closed through Thursday with the staff getting an unpaid week off. I'd like to think that there's more to the story than is getting reporting, because it would be a major shame if the eatery took its movie check but didn't account for the financials of its employees.
Though, really, is the situation any different than that of Downtown renters whose buildings profit while they get nothing but a nice dose of inconvenience?

Yes, they did. In three years that was the only time I've had something like that happen.

Of course there was more to the story. Trust TMZ?
