The Downtown NET Shuttle?

This sign hangs on Main street as you go from 3rd to 2nd, advertising a stop for the “Downtown NET Shuttle.” If such a service exists for LA then both Google and I have yet to hear of it. There is a Norfolk Electric Transit (NET) Downtown Shuttle in Norfolk, VA, though, which forces me to think that this sign got left up after filming.

The last thing our over-signed Downtown needs is pretend signage cluttering up our streets. Life’s confusing enough with the plethora of wayfinding, parking and transit signs real agencies install.

you need to stop blogging about all the things we also noticed walking back from the triforium lighting.

Or perhaps you need to start blogging about things you notice on walks. To be fair, I noticed the bike racks yesterday, the NET sign today.

okay.

if it is hanging from the streetlight on the right-hand side of shot, the sign is new since 2005, at least. probably a film shoot leftover.

jim: You had to start there. Seriously, Ed has a post in the editor queue about Blossom and I almost approved it before running out at 11:15. I’m still posting it.

Oh, and it’s on the other side of the street from that shot.

yeah, in the queue, sure. you guys are worse than the downtown news. (just kidding.)

but look, that sign has been there since at least 2005. you may have to view that picture at the original size to see it, but it’s on the right.

i’m not sure that one was the one i noticed recently. there might be another along los angeles street.
