Tuesday Odds and Ends

Lots of things today worthy of a mention but a bit light for an actual post. Here are a couple in short-form...

Cara Mia DiMassa's Times story on the history of the "erector set" parking structure next to Disney Hall is definitely worth a read. She does a great job of looking at the odd relationship between temporary and permanence wrapped up in a temporary structure that's been around for 40 years.

Zocolo brings its "Public Square" series to Broadway on Thursday night. Garment & Citizen publisher Jerry Sullivan will be moderating a panel with Councilmember Jose Huizar, Orpheum owner Steve Needleman, Bus Riders Union lead organizer Manuel Criollo, and CRA Deputy Chief of Operations Don Spivack. It's sure to be interesting.

Tyler Green asks for a MOCA expansion in the Times today, making the case for the museum to have space in the Grand Avenue Project.
