DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — 01 (Zero One) Gallery officially opened its new location at 609 South Olive Street on Saturday evening with an opening reception for “Marco Polo,” a series of works by Steve Olson and guest curated by Lilli Muller.
The reception introduced the long space that leads into a clever balcony suitable for DJs. A mixed crowd of locals and out of downtowners filled the room located next to the Oviatt.
One block down the street is photographer Gary Leonard’s studio space, and the two combine to bring a little burst of Gallery Row nearer to the Financial District.
For several months 01 Gallery has been programming space in Santee Court. That space remains listed on the gallery’s website.
Steve Olson’s show runs until June 24.
