Most Comments SQL blogdowntown

Recently I wrote that Friday was a slow day for comments. Well, yesterday you all blew that idea out of the water. Friday, June 13th, had the most comments of any day in blogdowntown history.

In the end, it wasn’t even close. Friday wound up getting 64 comments. The second spot is a measly 45 comments. And when was that set? Wednesday, June 11th. Before that, the highest number had been 43, set on September 11, 2007.

Friday’s comments were spread across eleven different stories, though our talk about Pershing Square dominated with 31 of your remarks. Wednesday’s comments were on just six stories.

And what were we talking about last September? Twenty five of those comments were on the hearing on liquor licenses for the Santa Fe Lofts.

The interesting discussion that all of you add to this site is what makes it worth doing, so thanks for continuing to add your voices. A full five of the top twenty commented days come from this month alone. Clearly, you all have a lot to say.

Shouldn’t we all contribute and make this post the one with the most comments ever?

I admire the spirit, but somehow I doubt that thread of comments would really make for all that good of reading.

It’s not the comments that make this site so amazing - it the incredible, fun, light, insightful downtown content. THANK YOU!!
