DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtown’s 6th street Famima!! is looking to branch out its offerings, filing an application with the Planning department for the permits to sell beer and wine.
The store is located in the Pacific Center, at 525 W. 6th. It opened in February of 2007 as Downtown’s second Famima!! (after 800 S. Figueroa), and the chain has since added two more locations (California Plaza and City National Plaza).
According to its website, three of the chain’s thirteen Southern California locations currently offer beer and wine sales.
The application for a CUB, or Conditional Use Beverage, was filed on August 8th. No hearing has yet been scheduled.
PREVIOUSLY: Famima!! Open on 6th (2/7/2007) and Famima!! Adds Late Night on 6th (2/14/2008).
Comments
The Famima in California Plaza has had a sign up requesting to sell alcohol for a while now. Why not? Though not the place I would go for a 3 martini lunch
Thanks, Steve. I would imagine they’ll try to get permits for all four Downtown locations. I just happened to see the application go in on this one. I would tend to think they’d have an interesting selection.
