DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — It's turning into L.A. Live day here on blogdowntown. The relocated Conga Room is getting set to open its doors in December, and tickets for the first set of shows just went on-sale this afternoon. Multiple Grammy Award winner Olga Tañón opens the venue on December 4th and 5th.

American R&B singer and writer Anthony Hamilton was just inked for Sunday, December 14th (not on Ticketmaster as of this time). Other bookings: On December 6, Toby Love and special guest La Sinfonia have an early show (18 + over). On December 18, it’s Jose Alberto "El Canario" featuring The Conga Room All Stars.

Conga Room will be one of a handful of music venues at L.A. Live. Staples Center and the Nokia Theater have been hosting big shows for a while now, with the 2,300 seat Club Nokia joining the scene on November 10th. The GRAMMY Museum will also host private performances and special events.

For those interested in checking out pretty of shows at L.A. Live, owner AEG is holding a contest that offers a grand prize of tickets and dinner each month for a year. Additional winners will get tickets and gift certificates. You can sign up online, and the drawing will be held at the beginning of January.
