Downtown on Ice Coming Next Week

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtown on Ice returns just a week from today, as the Pershing Square ice rink opens on November 20. The rink, a holiday feature now in its 11th year, will offer skating seven days a week until January 19, 2009.

Skating fees are unchanged from last year, at $6 for a one hour session and $2 for skate rentals. A "Family Four-Pack" (skates and ice time) is $30, $2 off the regular price.

Details for the kickoff day on the 20th have not been announced, but rink operator Willy Bietak Productions, Inc., is responsible for securing talent for the opening ceremonies and press conference.
