DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — In Downtown years, Pitfire Pizza's been around forever. The restaurant at 2nd and Main opened in October of 2005, just a touch over three years ago. This week it got a fancy new blade sign to improve nighttime visibility.
Open until 10pm seven days a week, Pitfire makes a good destination for those taking the Late Night DASH Holiday pilot, which kicks off today and offers service from 6:30pm to 3am (and of which Pitfire was a sponsor). Just hop off the bus at 2nd & Main.

I'm so happy you posted this. I was driving myself crazy last night trying to figure out if that sign was new or had been there forever, and I just hadn't noticed it before.
One day they just stopped delivering to our hood. START DELIVERING AGAIN TO 6TH & ALAMEDA YOU BASTARDS! We're happy to pay some sort of nominal delivery charge.
Perhaps if you asked nicely instead of yelling at them?
bromike666: They can barely do decent deliver within their building, they really are a mis-managed group of kids. I've given up on them.
And many Higgins building people are pissed that the place they OWN has such a sign and no one got to vote on it... (I personally don't care as I don't live on that side, but if I did I'd be pissed).
Is it just me or has the quality of their food changed recently? I have to be on a short list of this place's biggest fans, but lately it just seems the pizza and salads are not as good.
Is there a different chef or change in management? Does anyone know?
I really like their pizza and have eaten their enough to keep going back three or four meals after I should have asked these questions...
I really don't want to have to drive to Nicky D's or pay Mozza prices to get a decent NYC quality pie.
Why bother with Pitfire when Rocket Pizza is a couple blocks away?
