DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtown on Ice is officially open. The new skating season kicked off moments ago after a morning press conference and a warm-up by the Orange County Youth Performance Ensemble. Pershing Square's ice rink will be open seven days a week through January 19.
This youngster is a little wobbly, but surely he will be doing spins in no time. With some help from the L.A. Kings Hockey Clinic, held on selected Sunday mornings, he's bound to be slapping pucks into the net.
The L.A. Kings Downtown on Ice at Pershing Square is open noon to 10pm Monday through Thursday, at 10am to 10pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend hours take effect every day through the holiday period of December 19 through January 11.
Lunchtime concerts will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2pm.

It's nice to see you have info on this. I've been e-mailing Pershing Sq. info people about it and heard NOTHING! Pershing Sq. doesn't have the greatest of ad people does it?
