DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Friend of blogdowntown Andy Rosillo is one of the hosts for FIESTA, a new monthly Latin American celebration at the Conga Room. Thursday night is the kickoff event, and it's themed around Colombia and Carnaval. On the ticket are two rooms full of music, one with house and electronic DJs and the other offering a live salsa band.
Andy's extending a special offer to blogdowntown readers. They're charging $15 at the door, but readers who send their name to vip@therosca.com can get in the door for free before 10:30pm.
The Conga Room opened at L.A. Live in December of 2008, after closing on Wilshire Boulevard in 2006. The new location is much larger than the old space, and also features Latin restaurant Boca.
L.A. Live is at 800 W. Olympic. The FIESTA event is 21+, and those interested in more information can find a flyer online.
