City West's Vista Hermosa Park took the grand prize at today's Los Angeles Architectural Awards. The 10.5 acre space, designed by Mia Lehrer & Associates, opened in July of last year. It features sustainable design elements, terraced lawns, a playground and a synthetic soccer field.

Vista Hermosa Park is located on 1st street, just west of the 110 freeway.

The awards, sponsored by the Los Angeles Business Council, took place this afternoon at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
