Buyers, models and designers linger in the lobby of the California Market Center lobby after an Australian Fashion Showcase that opened January's Fashion Market.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Those with an eye for a designer wardrobe but not the pocketbook to match may want to think about taking the morning off work this Friday. The normally wholesale-only halls of the California Market Center will be opened to the public as the showrooms inside kick off their Last Friday Summer Sample Sales.
Designers throughout the market will be participating, including Allen Allen, Brad Butter (Kids), Francesco
Biasia Handbags, Hanky Panky, Kenneth Cole, Kinetix Well‐Traveled (Kids), Necessitees, Poleci, Toku (Kids) and Voom by Joy Han.
The showrooms inside the 3-million-square-foot California Market Center represent more than 10,000 lines in all.
Also offered during Friday's sale will be on‐site complimentary hair cuts and styling from the STUDIO DNA Pop‐ up Salon as well as complimentary beverages and snacks.
The sale runs from 9am to 4pm. California Market Center is located at 110 E. 9th (9th at Main).

There are always great sales at Cooper Design Space - www.cooperdesignspace.blogspot.com and The New Mart - newmart.net on the last Friday of the month.

The other buildings on the corner of 9th/Los Angeles St. (Cooper Design, New Mart & Gerry)in the Fashion District also have sample sales on the last Friday of each month. You can get some really great deals during Sample Sales. Cooper & New Mart are really good for young hip stuff...

def check out the 5th floor at the california market center! SOOOO many good finds! and my mom picked up all these kids clothes for my baby sis on the 6th floor. my sis is rocking baby splendid, it's too cute!
